Tony's original owners found!

The following photo with caption is repeated from last Sunday:

FROM LAST WEEK: Tony "the Pony," a Great Pyrenees, is dumped eight miles from us, and we get a call to pick him up or the people who found him will "haul him off" and dump him again! Pat immediately went to rescue him. "How could anyone abandon this or any dog?!"

As of this afternoon, Tony's original owners have been found and will be reunited with Tony tomorrow afternoon (6/5/00).

$300+ worth of dog food per week!

Bill unloads and carries $300+ worth of Natures Recipe, Iams and Science Diet dog food into our shelter office after his weekly trip to Canine Commissary in Dallas, the only pet supply store that has agreed to give us a discount on the huge amount of dog food we buy every week.

Little change from the paw prints on down, except links at the end

Look what we got in the mail in early June 2000. We've got to solve the dog and cat over population problem quick!

WORKS!

(Now anyone who types in "www.straydog.com" will automatically
be redirected to our website, www.straydog.org)

No more puppies! No more kittens!

Until all the dogs (and all the cats) now alive find good homes, let us allow that no more be conceived!

Please help us get this message across to the millions of unaware Americans who continue to allow their pets to procreate!

If we can get everyone to spay and neuter their pets, the overpopulation problem will go away, and no more healthy, young companion animals will ever again be killed simply because there aren't enough homes available to adopt them.

As always, complete financial records are available upon request.

Dog food, veterinary expenses and kennel crew wages have been running over $2,000 per week, and we are quite often literally paying this week's expenses with this week's donations. We, Pat and Bill Arnold, receive no remuneration whatsoever for any work we do for our no-kill shelter, which includes managing it. (Bill pays all our bills and living expenses from his salary from his regular job in Dallas.)

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

We continue to thank those who continue to write us such encouraging letters and e-mail messages letting us know that you believe in what we are doing at Straydog (our Happy Home for Strays) as we continue to provide a decent life (as long as may be necessary) for each of our now 47 rescued dogs!

Please take a look at some of our newsletters (click on links below) and see the original article in The Dallas Morning News --on the Internet at "dallasnews.com/archives" (search for Pat Arnold on March 13, 1997).

We rely on donations to keep our shelter going. If you believe in us and in what we are doing, please help us with a contribution to Straydog Inc. at the following address:
