EXCERPTS FROM PAT ARNOLD'S DAILY DOG LOG - Page 1

MONDAY NOVEMBER 6 2000 Two little new arrivals, Peanuts and Popcorn, go for their checkups

By 8:15 this morning cute little buff-colored Peanuts and her sister, fluffy black puppy Popcorn, were off to the clinic. (These are the little three-month-old puppies who had been brought to our shelter last Saturday.) They snuggled up in the soft towels in a single traveling crate for the half-hour drive to our vet clinic.

After the pups had their checkups and vaccinations and "good little puppy" treats, the doctor said that Irene was ready to go home too. Irene is the new arrival I took to the clinic last Saturday to have her checkup and the big dog-bite wound on her back leg treated. Now she was all patched up, and it looked as if it took 10 stitches to close the gaping wound. This bouncy big pup was happy and ready to go play!

By 10:30 a.m. we arrived back at our Happy Home for Strays. With the puppies soon settled in their kennel it was time to introduce Irene to Brandi.
