"Come on, old man. Let's play!" says Penny, who's just a couple of months old, to Blackie, who's at least 12 years old. Putting these two together is like putting an 84-year-old human into a play yard with a rambunctious two- or three-year-old kid.

Their second meeting didn't go as well as their first (see Pat's Daily Dog Log). Blackie wanted very little to do with Penny on their second visit this afternoon. But the story ends happily, because Penny and Scooter finally got together later this afternoon and had a grand time. So Penny's got a playmate again.
