Dogs of The Week

BUDDY and BETSY are Rottweiler siblings. These two big Rotties are absolutely precious! They are a brother and sister team and they are inseparable. We'd like them to be adopted by a loving family that will take both Buddy and Betsy together.

Buddy and Betsy are 16 months old now. Buddy weighs about 120 pounds and Betsy weighs about 70 pounds. These dogs are very gentle and affectionate, and think they are "lap dogs" -- at least this is what they'd like to be! They are playful and very strong and love people and kids.

These pups were found on the highway with their mom, Trixie (who is still with us also) when they were just five weeks old. They were adorable little Rottie pups, with long tails. Buddy and Betsy were adopted when they were about 4 months old, but came back to us when they were eight months old and they have been with us ever since.

Health Problems: Buddy and Betsy both have hip dysplasia, which causes them to limp occasionally, usually because they are so playful with each other, they hurt their hips when they tussle around. Cold rainy wet weather affects how they feel too, just as it does for some people who have arthritis.

Both Buddy and Betsy may eventually need hip surgery, but we are first trying to treat them with alternative medicine to help alleviate this hip problem.

They are such wonderful dogs and will make fantastic pets! If you are the family who adopts these fellas, you will need a very big couch so that Buddy and Betsy can snuggle up in your laps.
