Lassie comes home from the clinic

Today I went to pick up Lassie who had been staying at the clinic since her surgery yesterday, during which the doctor removed two tumors, one from the back of her neck and the other, a hard wart-like lump, from her shoulder.

Dr. Morton said the results of the biopsies on these two lumps will be back within the next few days and we'll know more then.

Lassie was happy to see me, and even happier when we arrived home and she was reunited with her best dog friend and kennel companion, Sandy!

We would love to find a wonderful family who would like to adopt both Little Lassie and Sandy together. There is such a strong bond between Lassie and Sandy we could never separate them.

It's wonderful to hear from the pups and dogs who have been adopted

Luke, who is one of Blind Mommy Freckles' four puppies, was adopted Saturday before last, and his new mom called tonight to tell us how much she loves the little fellow and how happy he is in his new home. It was really nice to hear from her and to know Luke is doing so well.

Krissy and her two Shepherd-mix puppies are out of mange quarantine now

Yea! Nothing makes us happier than when new arrivals are finally out of quarantine! Krissy and her two sons, Pepsi and Pepper, should be clear of sarcoptic mange now, the doctor said, which means no more "suiting up" for us when we go into see them. ("Suiting-up" is putting on special jump suit type clothing when we go into feed them, clean their kennel or play with them, which clothing we take off again after visiting the dogs in quarantine.) This adorable family of three is doing just fine.

[Pictures to come]
