Freckles' spay surgery is rescheduled for Monday
Freck was supposed to go for her spay surgery this morning, but I forgot to tell Tina, who feeds the section of kennels Freckles is in, not to feed Freck, so Freck was, of course, fed her breakfast. I had to reschedule Freck's spay surgery for this coming Monday. Sometimes there's just too much to remember with all the special needs dogs!
Boxer Kalli gets a clean bill of health: No more heartworms!
Yea! What great news for Kalli! It's been two months since Kalli began her treatment for heartworms, and this morning when I took her for her follow-up visit to the vet clinic, we got the great news that she is clear of heartworms.
This beautiful, three-year-old Boxer will be going to our Adoption Day this coming Saturday. A family who already has two Boxers came to our shelter to see Kalli a couple of weeks ago, and we will be making the home visit Saturday to see how all three Boxers get along together.
Other Dogs and Pups scheduled to go to Adoption Day
Also going to Saturday Adoption Day will be the three, three-month-old puppies, Perry and Jimmy (who are Black Lab mixes) and Dakota, a Heeler mix. The puppies are, of course, absolutely adorable. Sweet tempered, Melissa, a Shepherd mix, is also scheduled to go to Adoption Day plus some others, depending on how many volunteers we have for the day. If we can line up enough volunteers, we may be going to both the Plano and the Lower Greenville Canine Commissary stores.
Danny Boy had a good day today
Danny ate pretty well and had an excellent bowel movement, and he seemed in pretty good spirits most of the day. Please keep praying for Danny's recovery.
