Puppies Dakota and Jimmy get final vaccinations

Jimmy tussling with Dakota a couple of weeks ago

Today these adorable puppies received their final puppy vaccinations and little puppy-dog examinations, and they are the "picture of Great Health" said our doctor.

I should take "Before" and "After" photos when we take puppies into the examining rooms because when we go in, the room is spotlessly clean, and when we leave, it's pretty much a shambles.

As soon as I set the pups down on the examining room floor, they were off in search of something "to find and destroy!" Dakota spotted and scooted to the magazine rack sitting on the floor in a corner of the room, and he began tugging at a copy of Dog Fancy Magazine while Jimmy ran to the roll of paper towels hanging beneath the weight table, at a perfect puppy-dog height. Jimmy jumped up and grabbed the end of the towels and began pulling them across the floor unrolling the roll! Then he suddenly stopped and pooped, which was easy to clean up due to the towels being all over the place. All of this puppy-dog action took place in just a matter of a few seconds. As I started to clean up one mess, they were busy making another!

Dr. Morton is a super nice doctor and in spite of all the mess he still called them the sweetest little puppies in the whole wide world.

Raining and cold today

It's been raining, steadily, all day, but luckily we haven't had the downpour we were expecting, so all has gone fairly smoothly in spite of the wetness.

All of the dogs houses have been filled with fresh hay again in preparation for the icy cold days that are headed our way beginning tomorrow.

Reports from adoptive "parents" are always welcome

We've heard from most all the new "parents" of the recently adopted pups and dogs, and the reports are that all of the doggies are just fine, including Daniel, Arthur, Little Max, Kalli, Helen and Sweetie, plus young puppies Joey, Perry, Luke, Louie and Lucy. (I may have forgotten a couple of names!)
