MONDAY FEBRUARY 24 2003

One email to us said something like, "I'm very happy to hear Bear was sprung!"

One Tenison Golf Course rescued stray is now at our vet clinic!

Yea! This hectic whole morning of phone calls brought about the release of frightened young dog ,"Bear," one of the family of four strays dogs, now known as the Tenison Golf Course Stray Dogs.

Tomorrow I'll write more about the events that took place today dealing with the release of Bear, but it's late now, and we'd just like everyone to know that we did pick up Bear from the Dallas Animal Control pound, and he appears to be okay, and he's safe at our vet clinic. It was so late when we arrived at the clinic with Bear that Dr. Morton said (after a quick checkup) that he would examine Bear thoroughly tomorrow, and I will go to see Bear then. Bear is a very frightened young dog, and no wonder from all that he has gone through. [More on this story to come tomorrow.]

Photos of Golf Course Strays

POSTED MONDAY MORNING

Pam just emailed these photos to us Monday morning: This is Bear, the only golf course dog rescued so far, and he's being detained at the pound for the mandatory 72 hours, tho we're trying to get him released as soon as possible.

This is the mother dog near the barn at the Tenison Golf Course in Dallas (still on the loose)

This is the father dog, (still loose) at the golf course.
