No update on the Tenison Golf Course Strays

We can only say that the father and sibling are still evading rescue. We are ready to welcome the dogs whenever they are rescued.

Davey

Davey is doing okay today. He seems happy today and continues to eat the "mixed" food with great appetite.

Snowflake

Granny Snow is also doing okay. She has a little-bitty appetite but at least she is holding her food down.

The two newest fellas from the golf course, Sally and Allie, are getting along just fine

Allie is very friendly and affectionate, and Sally is just a little more reserved but is also a lovable little dog. They love to run and chase each other around and around their kennel yard.

Jesse-Bear and his Mama Laura are happy dogs

Our vet decided it would be best not to give Laura even the "one-dose" method of heartworm treatment. He's done a lot of research on using another method of treatment for advanced cases such as Laura's, which he believes is the least dangerous for her, and we've agreed to have her treated this way.

Laura comes to us willingly for pets and hugs. She is very friendly now, but her big, eight-month-old son, Jesse-Bear, still is quite reserved. Jesse will let me pet him, when he feels like being petted, and I honor this. Today he was in a "pet me" mood, and he and his mom and I had a nice long visit together with a whole lotta petting going on.

The Aussie pups, Tina and Terry, are absolutely precious

As cute as these puppies are we can't take them to our Saturday Adoption Days until they've had more of their series of puppy vaccinations. Puppies this young (eight weeks old)  are much too susceptible to disease until fully vaccinated.

If anyone is interested in adopting Tina or Terry (or Corky too)  you are very welcome to make an appointment to come to our shelter to see them.

Corky is a sweet little puppy

Corky has a personality unlike any of the other little pups. He is so huggable and clings to us when we hold him, just as a baby would. He likes to be walked to the play yard if he can hold the leash in his mouth and lead the dog walker around.

Corky leads the walker around the park.

Corky spends the whole time in the play yard carrying around the toys that he comes across. Today as Corky and I walked around (with him practically leaning against my leg as we walked because he wants to be close to me [or the other caregivers]), he picked up a stuffy toy teddy bear and trotted beside me caring the toy bear until we happened upon an old toy shoe. He tried to pick up the shoe with the stuffy toy already in his little mouth, which would not work, so he dropped the teddy and finished the rest of his 10 minute walk with the shoe in his mouth!

Corky hugs and clings to us and loves to be held.

Corky lies in Pat's arms and gives her a kiss.

Corky has play times with bigger Pup Cassie and much bigger Puppy Dog Brigitte, so he has friends to play with just as all the others.
