Tinkerbell and Megan "escape" from their tiny part-time kennel

Tinkerbell high-tailed it straight over to their regular kennel and went right in the open gate, and one of the kennel crew shut the gate. Little white Pit Bull Puppy Megan ran the opposite direction and stopped at Trixie and Champ's kennel and naively stuck her nose through the fence, and we heard a yelp as Champ bit her nose before Guy, who was running after her, could get there. It must have been a gentle bite because she was immediately alright and had no wounds. (This event was over before I could get the camera so I re-posted the above file photo.)
Nikki comes out of her shell a little more with each passing day
Guy reported to me that after he returned Nikki to her kennel today after her turn in the park, she first went into her dog house as she always does, but then she came out of her dog house and sat down beside Guy on the ground and let him pet her gently. This is a big step forward for Nikki. (Puppy Rex continues to visit with Nikki every day both in the park and then back in Nikki's kennel till Rex starts whining for his mother, Rosie. Then we move him back in with his family.)
We're still trying to organize things around here
Our oldest daughter, Erin, has taken on the job of responding to Pat's (and now Straydog's) incoming emails. I'm sorry if some of you have written to me directly, but I am swamped with a million other pressing things all day long. (If you want to reach me directly, I'm at BillArnold147@hotmail.com.)
Our son, Joe, who by profession is in the IT Department at SMU, is revamping our donated computer system and will soon put up four web cams so you will be able to see live video still photos of the dogs and the goings-on at Straydog every five or 10 seconds throughout the day and night. Joe says he might have this hooked up by sometime tomorrow. Pat and Joe and Guy and I had talked about doing this for a long time, but we never had time to get around to it.
Our son, Bill, Jr. and daughter Stacey have had to return to their regular jobs, but they'll continue to help out on weekends.
