Pepsi was adopted at Adoption Day at Petsmart in Plano (Texas)

Guy reported that when they arrived at PetsMart and were unloading the dogs from the van, an Australian Shepherd (on a leash, with a guardian) came up and visited with the puppies. Soon Guy realized that the Aussie was named Divot and that his guardians were the people who were interested in adopting Pepsi.

Divot and Pepsi were introduced, and they immediately seemed to like each other--Pepsi touched Divot's nose and licked him, and Divot licked him back, and they started playing together inside the store.

The home visit was made, and Guy said everything went very well: Pepsi got along with all three of the couple's dogs and their cat.

Pepsi is finally a truly lucky dog!

Normal routine at Straydog, plus Shannon clipped the toenails of all the dogs who would allow her to

My dog Frosty was the only dog who would consent to having just one toenail trimmed. (Katie, as Pat reported a couple of weeks ago, had already had her nails clipped at the clinic.)

Blackie keeps staring out the sliding glass kitchen door

Blackie (the little ~12-year-old fella who slept under the covers with Pat every night) is still looking for her to return, but we're all trying to give him as much attention as possible, and it's only now and then that he starts looking out the window for her. ... I sure miss her too. I almost started crying at the grocery store today when I bought just one little piece of fish for dinner instead of two.
