Bill Arnold's Daily Straydog Log

FRIDAY JUNE 20 2003

Hot, hot, hot today and we haven't even reached 100 degrees yet

A pretty routine day with no emergencies, no vet visits and no unhappy dogs--except for the discomfort of the heat and the sound of the freed-up kennel team members mowing or weed-eating. And I (Bill) learned how to give Julie (the diabetic dog) her insulin injection, which was quite an experience for someone who's never stuck a needle into anyone before.

Bobby's surgery is scheduled for next Friday (the 27th)

We are to have Bobby at the Dallas Veterinary Surgery Center in Dallas at 8:00 in the morning Friday, and we are to pick him up Saturday morning. Plans for the construction of another indoor kennel are in the works.

Don't forget Adoption Day tomorrow

If you're considering adopting a pup, please come to PetsMart on 75 North at Parker Road in Plano tomorrow between 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. We're taking seven puppies and need to adopt some out so we can bring the two almost-shot siblings home from the clinic, where they are being boarded until we have room for them.

Star Kitty (a feral cat who came with the property) stays pretty close to Sandy and Lassie's kennel.
