Bill Arnold's Daily Straydog Log

FRIDAY JULY 4 2003

This afternoon I walked around our shelter grounds with the camera, thinking about Pat and all she did here and thinking about the memorial service tomorrow (Saturday)

The following pictures (taken this afternoon) are of some of the original kennels Pat contracted to be constructed before we moved here in October of 1994, the cabin that came with the property, which we lived in for four years before I bought Pat the long, white trailer (which to us was a palace after living in the cabin).

The dogs I photographed this afternoon are some of the original rescued strays who moved here with us in 1994, all wonderful, wonderful dogs nobody else in the world seems to want. I assured them all again that if they never find their individual forever homes, I will take care of them for the rest of their lives. They will get their two good meals every day and their walks to the big play yard and their extra-attention caregiving sessions every afternoon, and as they grow older and older, they will continue to receive all the medical attention they may need. I will make sure we continue to take care of Pat's dogs.

Pat rescued Teddy Bear when he was a tiny puppy wandering around a super market parking lot in 1993.

Ol' Pup and Angel also found Pat in 1993 and made the move with us to Straydog.

Max and Molly found Pat shortly after we moved here in October 1994.

More photos taken today (the 4th of July 2003)
