Erin's report ...

Tinkerbell adopted at Adoption Day at PetsMart!

Before Tinkerbell even got inside Petsmart today, she was stopped and petted by a nice couple and their 10-year-old daughter, Alyssa. Tinks was also sniffed a lot by the family's 15-year-old dog, Pepper, who's not much taller than Tinkerbell but quite a bit heavier.

This family had seen Tinkerbell before at an earlier Adoption Day at this same PetsMart, and Alyssa was so in love with Tinks that the family decided that this was the day they'd take her home!

Volunteer Sue Knudsen and I (Erin) made the home visit. Tinks rode great in the car, and when we got to the family's home, Tinkerbell walked right in the house as if she'd been there many times before. Pepper didn't seem to be concerned at all that she had a visitor in her house and yard.

The family has a baby gate and talked about keeping Tinkerbell in the kitchen at night while she's being house-trained. Alyssa's mom is home a lot so this will be great for Tinkerbell and Pepper.

Congratulations Tinkerbell on finding your forever home!

Tinkerbell is a very lucky dog!

Veronica and Archie

Veronica and Archie enjoyed their first day at Petsmart Adoption Day. Veronica craves human touch so much, and she was very sweet and quiet and happy to be petted all day by our wonderful volunteers and the passersby shopping in the store. Archie was so excited that he couldn't sit still. He wanted to walk around the store and take in all the sites and sounds and see all the other dogs.

Benny and Rudy

These two rough-and-tumble brothers (Rosie's sons) are getting big and rowdy, and we were hoping they'd be adopted today so we could try Rosie with Sandy and free up a kennel, but no takers. And they are such beautiful, growing puppy dogs. But everyone had a good day, especially Tinkerbell.

Benny (on his back) and Rudy (standing) put on quite a show for the passersby in the pen we constructed for them.

Update on Sally and Alice

Dr. Morton reported that these guys' tails are already looking a lot better and are healing very well. They are probably enjoying the air-conditioned kennels at the vet clinic!
