A note from Bill ...
The first event of the Oberlin High School 1958 Class Reunion went very well. Everyone was very nice to me as they each hugged me and said how sorry they were to hear about Patsy (as Pat was known to them back in the mid-fifties). It was a good thing I came. I feel much better today than I did yesterday.
Shannon's report from Straydog ...
Anthony
Anthony's biopsy results finally came back today. He has fibrous and bony epulis cancer tumors. Dr. Morton said the type of cancer was peripheral odontogenic fibroma. He said this was not as aggressive as the cancer he had suspected in the first place, which is good because this also means that the surgery will not be as aggressive. Dr. Morton is going to consult with surgeons to try to determine if and just how much bone has to be removed. I have an appointment on Monday to discuss everything Dr. Morton learns, and we've also made a consultation appointment with Dr. Aiken at Smith Ridge Clinic in New York. Erin and I are also going to take advantage of Pat's extensive dog health library (there are literally dozens of books on Pat's bookshelf), and we'll search the internet to find out what we can about Anthony's form of cancer. We are all asking ourselves, "What would Pat do?" Erin and I decided she would have educated herself as much as possible on Anthony's condition to make an informed decision.

Fluffy and Muffin
Fluffy and Muffin are both fresh from the groomers thanks to a very generous "grooming pledge" from Volunteer Ofelia! They were pretty badly matted, and they don't like for our caregivers to spend all of their play yard time brushing out and cutting out mats. Because Ofelia offered to raise the money for the grooming of our long-haired dogs, Fluffy and Muffy feel and look a whole lot better. Fluffy didn't especially like her little red bows, but once they were removed she pranced around her kennel showing off her new cut.

Muffy has one pink bow on her right ear, and Fluffy has two red bows, one on each ear, and she would like them removed, please!
