Anthony's surgeon called today with great news!
The post operation biopsy shows absolutely NO cancer cells, which indicates the surgeon got it all! The doctor's words were, "So that's the end of it."
On our own we've already put Anthony on a very healthy, immune-system-enhancing diet, hoping to ward off any possible recurrence. (In our research on cancer we've read that all humans generate aberrant (cancerous) cells all the time but that these cells are killed off by healthy immune systems. Only those with weak immune systems are overtaken by this dreaded disease.)
Soon after we got the good news from Dr. McDonald, it was Susie's turn in the park (the big play yard), and we took Anthony out to spend a little time with his former (and future) kennel mate.

Puppy Pierce comes home today after yesterday's neuter surgery
This little guy was so feisty at the vet clinic that Dr. Morton sent him home with an E-collar to stop him from chewing his stitches. We also had to dump his pool so he wouldn't get his incision wet. You can tell from his photo that he's just itchin' to get into trouble.

Coming tomorrow: an email from Tony the Pony's mom with photos of Tony's birthday celebration. (He completed his first year with them on the 18th.)
