Angel's back home and will stay in one of the living room kennels for a couple of days

When I picked up Angel this afternoon, Dr. Morton said she's doing fine but has an ear infection that needs some prescribed medicines, which he provided for us. In addition to two different kinds of ear drops, the doctor gave me some ear wash to be used twice a day. Right now Angel is enjoying herself in the air-conditioned living room kennel recently vacated by Sally and Alice.

Angel, just out of the car back from yesterday's surgery to remove a tumor from her chest.

Angel's in the living room kennel on the left and Julie's in the kennel on the right.
You can just barely see Frosty in her back hallway.

Blood test on Foxy Yatzee not back yet; Big Boy's test shows no liver problems from his anti-seizure medicines

A few of Big Boy's readings were higher than normal, but the doctor saw no connection between the medicine and these elevated items.

Foxy Yatzee's "smear" test (to determine how serious her heartworm infestation is) hasn't come back yet.

Pokey is the next recipient of the Ofelia Gipson Grooming Award

Thanks again so very much Ofelia!

Pokey didn't have to be shaved as his mats weren't so bad as Max's yesterday. Pokey looks great!

Very busy today and also very hot, but no extraordinary events

The weather forecast of temperatures dropping into the 80s soon is certainly a bit of good news for all of us. The dogs, of course, won't be happy till the temperatures are in the 50s.

Veronica and Pierce have learned how to get up on their shelter top

At first only Veronica (the bigger dog) could get up on the roof, but now Piercy has learned the trick, and they both spend a lot of time up there before the sun gets too hot in the morning.

Pierce and Veronica catching the early morning sun Friday.
