Adoption Day Reports

Pierce finds his forever home!
Report from my daughter, Erin, who made two of the home visits today ...
Piercy went to a wonderful home today! The family has three other dogs and three cats! Pierce wasn't concerned at all when he saw the cats, and all the dogs got along wonderfully.
Pierce will have to learn how to use a doggie door! The doggies sleep inside the house, and Piercy will be an extra special companion for a 16-year-old young man who simply loves animals. (His mother was very taken with Pierce too.)

Today was Pepsi's lucky day!
We took Pepsi to adoption day because Veronica was feeling under the weather. It was Pepsi's lucky day. Annah Marie was there with her two Airedales, getting them groomed, and she fell in love with sweet Pepsi. When I told her that we had to make a home visit before finalizing the adoption, she got the dogs out of the groomer's (they hadn't started on the grooming yet), and off we went.

Again all went fine at the family's home, and Pepsi will have two new friends to play with. Pepsi also will learn to use a doggie door.
The families promised to update us on Pepsi and Pierce's progress!
Tinkerbell was returned today, but she was soon adopted by another family!
Tinkerbell was returned by Natalie's family because she moped and whined and wouldn't eat!
Report from Volunteer Susan Devers, who made this home visit ...
Tinkerbell's
adoption seems perfect. I met Tinkerbell's forever dad, Bob, and
his wife at their apartment. Bob will be a stay-at-home dad to
Tinkerbell, and his wife works at the hospital just behind their
apartment. They were both very happy to have Tinkerbell come to
live with them. The adoption was official except for some of the
paperwork, which I had forgotten at PetsMart, so I left Tinkerbell
at the apartment with Bob while I went back to PetsMart. When
I returned with the paperwork, Bob said Tinkerbell was doing great.
She had had a drink of water and had eaten. She followed him everywhere.
She was stretched out on the living room floor relaxing when I
got there, and she looked like she planned to stay. Tinkerbell
had been returned from the last home because she seemed sad and
wouldn't eat. She appears to have changed her mind with this person,
as she has already eaten and seems quite comfortable.
Bob calls Bill Sunday afternoon with an
update ...
Bob says everything is going great with Tinkerbell, and she seems as happy as can be. Bob will report more on Tinkerbell's progress as time goes by.
