Lots more mixing and matching of kennel mates after yesterday's two (new) adoptions
With Puppy Pierce gone Veronica was alone in a kennel. With Big Puppy Dog Pepsi gone his mother, Crissy, was alone in a kennel. Boomer, who has very bad hips, is constantly playing too rough with his kennel mate, Heather, so we wanted to change her out for a smaller, gentler dog to live with Boomer. And last evening Foxy Yatzee attacked sweet little Purdis for no reason at all, so Purdis (who luckily wasn't hurt) spent the night inside the "hospital trailer" in Bobby's kitchen kennel. Purdis now needed an outside kennel spot. (Bobby's been spending most of his days and nights in the little puppy kennel next to the park. He prefers the outside accommodations. He's an "outpatient," whose leg is still not healed enough to put much weight on it, so we're taking him back to Dallas Tuesday to see Dr. McDonald again.)
When we started the mixing and matching early this morning, we had no idea how it would all work out, but somehow it did.
First we tried Boomer with Rosie, the mother of Rudy and Benny. The family of three have been living together in Rosie's kennel since Rosie's other puppies were adopted out. After a few unsure moments, Rosie and Boomer started to get along, so we put Boomer back in his kennel again with Heather (temporarily), and we put Rosie (temporarily) back in her own kennel with her two sons.

Next we introduced Purdis to Crissy, Pepsi's mom, but for some reason Crissy didn't like the little fella.
