With Veronica's adoption Saturday Amigo is left alone in their kennel

We tried Amigo with Foxy, and they got along okay, tho Foxy paid little attention to the young puppy dog.

Amigo wants to play, but Foxy Yatzee wants none of it.

Before putting Amigo in Foxy's kennel with Foxy, we wanted to see if Amigo and Crissy might be compatible, but they weren't.

A few seconds after this photo was snapped, something snapped in Crissy (on the left), and she would have attacked
poor Amigo if our caregivers hadn't had the leashes on and stood ready to pull the two dogs apart.

Amigo and Foxy wind up in Foxy's kennel, and all goes well for the rest of the day.

Scotty and Daisy spend Scotty's park playtime together

All went well again. And as soon as Daisy's incision is totally healed, we'll put her in with Scotty.

Scotty and Daisy's leashes come off since we already know they're compatible

Julie's blood sugar level is high again

After last week's low readings Dr. Morton cut Julie's insulin from 20 units three times a day to 15 units three times a day. The doctor said to stay with the 15 units and bring her back to the clinic in a few days for another test.

Mid afternoon we find that Daisy has a small opening in her stitched incision

Erin made this second trip of the day to the clinic. The area around the incision is also swollen, and Dr. Morton said the new way he did the stitches wasn't strong enough, so we need to be very careful and watch her closely for a rupture and to bring her in again when we bring Julie in later in the week. We still haven't seen the results of Daisy's heartworm test. The bill so far for Daisy is $169.96.
