Bill Arnold's Daily Straydog Log

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 28 2003

I spent the day working on the abreviated newsletter

We still don't have the new mailing labels merged with the old mailing labels, but my son-in-law, Dana, is working on that right now, volunteering his time to Straydog Inc.

The first pieces should go into the mail tomorrow, and none too soon. We are literally almost out of money.

Sassy Old Katie has a very good day

Tina called me on her walkie-talkie this morning, suggesting I get the camera quickly and come out to the park to get some photos of Katie, who usually does nothing but walk around slowly till she does her business and then goes back to her kennel. Today Katie was running and even chased a toy that Tina threw for her. By the time I'd pulled myself away from the newsletter and gotten outside with the camera, Katie was done playing and on her way back to her kennel, but this afternoon I got a few new photos of Katie during her second outing. She wasn't very playful, but she was having a grand time walking around sniffing the grass, enjoying the cooler weather. All the dogs are really loving the cooler weather!

Sassy Ol' Katie, enjoying her second outing of the day in the park.

Katie almost pranced a little as she wandered around searching for new aromas.

Then suddenly Katie started running, charging the fence where Boomer was trying to act tough.
