Blind Chocolate Lab Chubs and his sister, Cassie, go on a special home visit

     Charlie and Jana have been coming to Straydog every few evenings to visit with Chubs and Cassie in the park, trying to give the two purebred Labs some much needed training, and just recently they expressed an interest in adopting both Chubs and Cassie. Charlie and Jana already have three dogs (all Labs), and we told them that the big hurtle would be getting their dogs to accept Blind Chubs, as it has been our experience that adult dogs generally will not accept a blind dog. No so with Charlie and Jana's dogs.

     Last evening my daughter Erin along with Juana and Tina loaded Chubs and Cassie into the van, and the three women and two dogs followed Charlie and Jana to their place in Canton, and thank goodness Charlie and Jana's dogs all accepted Chubs (and Cassie).

     We'll be making several more home visits to Charlie and Jana's place before we give the final approval to make the adoption official.

Juana has Chubs, and Tina has Chubs, and Juana has Cassie.

Julie went for another blood test this morning

     Juana left Straydog with Julie about a quarter to ten this morning. The results of today's blood test: Julie's blood sugar level was in the normal range, so the doctor said to leave Julie on the newly prescribed lower dosage of insulin and to bring Julie back in Friday for another test.
