How the new matchups are going

All the matchups are doing fine but one: Krissy and Colby had to be separated when Krissy had Colby down on his back and was really trying to hurt him. So Krissy's now back with Rudy and Benny, which threesome has been working out well. Rudy and Benny must have realized that Krissy's going to be the boss in this family, and they've learned to accept it. Because if either or both of them together challenge her and there's a fight, they will have to be separated again, and I don't think they want that.

Everybody barked at the new dogs today as they walked to the park

This caused lots of barking and small skirmishes in several kennels, but they'll be used to it in a few days. All the new dogs just loved the park--the Big Play Yard.

Henry and Russell are home

Henry's the sweetest dog you'll ever find! We're keeping him in one of the "hospital" kennels in the living room/office for a few days as he's still draining from a small opening in his jaw, and we're supposed to keep the whole area super clean.

Russell's alone in the kennel between the family (Momma Dog, Briar and Bobby) and Duke and Cindy's kennel, and that's going okay.

Volunteer Jessica (and her mom, Judy) came today for a couple of hours

Slowly getting to know the dogs Jesse trimmed toenails on some dogs and brushed and trimmed out some nasty mats. Thanks, Jesse (and Judy)!
