New dog Russell is having problems after his neuter surgery

Juana took Russell to the vet clinic early this morning. His scrotum has filled with blood and become slightly infected. The doctor prescribed some antibiotics and said Russell should be alright but to bring him back for a recheck later on in the week if we're making a trip with any of the other dogs.

Juany walks while Tina tries to get Russell to go to the van for his trip to the vet clinic.

Tina and Juany aren't having any trouble at all putting Russell in the van.

Big Boomer bites his kennel mate, Foxy Yatzee, in a rough skirmish

Big Boomer gets overly excited when there are other dogs in the park (which is right across from his kennel), especially dogs he doesn't think he cares for, and this morning he took out his hostility on his kennel mate, Foxy Yatzee. The caregiver/walker in the park yelled at Boomer, and he stopped immediately, and Foxy seemed okay at first, but a little later Tina took a closer look at Foxy Yatzee and noticed a bleeding puncture wound the size of a penny in Foxy's shoulder, so Juana took Foxy right to the vet clinic.

The doctor cleaned out the wound and flooded it with water to see how deep it was. Luckily it wasn't too deep. Then he prescribed some antibiotics and left the wound open, saying it would heal faster open to the air.

Pleasant weather again today, just a little warmer than yesterday due to more sun

In yesterday's lost update I talked about how the dogs are enjoying just lying around all day out in the sun in what to them is bearable weather. They'll like it even better when it drops another 15 degrees, but the relief from the heat of the summer months is greatly welcomed by all of them.

The change back to Standard Time leaves the dogs wondering where dinner is

This was also reported on in yesterday's lost update. Today at three o'clock new time, the dogs were still thinking it was four o'clock, and they started wondering where dinner was. Yesterday it was even worse. They barked the entire hour yesterday, and there were even a few small altercations between hungry kennel mates over the disappointment in the time change.
