Erin reports for her still-sick dad ...

Jacquielynn Floyd's article was really nice!

We received some offers of help through email today from Ms. Floyd's column!

We're grateful for offers of help!

Friends of Animals at Cedar Creek Lake has offered to help us out with low-cost spay and neuter operations, low-cost vaccines, (Rabies $1.00), heartworm testing and some medical supplies! Thank you so much, Sydney Busch for your kind offer of help!

Suzanne Lawson, also with Friends of Animals wrote an email offering to volunteer at our PetsMart Adoption Days. We will put you on our email list and let you know of the next Adoption Day, Suzanne. We usually do these Adoption Days every Saturday.

A new reader (I think) asked if there's a way to donate to Straydog through the internet. Yes, scroll down to the donations link near the bottom of this page. Thank you!! The doggies thank you!!

More encouraging emails today from our volunteers who are brainstorming about fund raising ideas...

And, quite a few people have emailed hoping you'll feel better soon Dad. Bill is still 'sicker than a dog,' though none of our doggies is sick like poor Pop!

A quiet, damp, gray and cool day

It was a quiet day today. The folks who are interested in coming out to visit with Jack and Jill (and a possible adoption) and also our volunteer groomer couldn't come this week because of the nasty weather. Today wasn't much better, but it didn't rain hard, and wasn't too cold. Three caregivers handled all the kennels, walks, caregiving and evening meal for the 80 or so doggies. They worked hard and worked as a team, and got the jobs done well. Tomorrow we will have more people hopefully so we can continue to prepare the kennels for winter.
