Happy Thanksgiving!

Rudy's spending Thanksgiving in our "hospital" with a bruised leg muscle

     After dark last evening our overnight man, Randy Hopkins, noticed that Rudy was holding his right hind leg up as he moved about the kennel he shares with his mother, Rosie, and his brother, Benny. Not knowing what Rudy's problem was and being worried that Rudy might injure his leg even more playing (or trying to play) with his rough-and-tumble brother and mother, Randy brought Rudy into the "hospital" to spend the night in an inside kennel.

     Today Juany checked out Rudy's injury during Rudy's first outing in the park, and it appears to be a bruise of the upper leg. We'll keep Rudy inside for the rest of he day and recheck him during every trip to the park. If he's a lot better tomorrow morning, he'll move back in with his mother and brother.

"Doctor" Juany feels and squeezes Rudy's leg, and the dog doesn't yelp, so we know there's nothing broken.

Rudy lets Juany stretch out his legs without showing any pain.

After watching the vets do this type of examination many, many times, we determine Rudy's got a bruise,
probably caused by slamming into something while running and playing with his mother and brother.
