Lots of technical problems getting the PDF file of the 4-pager to the printer

     The guys in the pre-press (or prep) department said they couldn't do anything with the file, to which I said, "It's a PDF. How can it not work? It works when I pull it up." They could open it and see it, but they couldn't save it as a file on their computer. Finally I just uploaded the file of the 4-pager again, and this time it worked. So, the newsletter will be printed and folded tonight and will be ready to pick up tomorrow morning.

We have to take Ojay to Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center tomorrow morning to talk with a surgeon

     This could be bad. Both his ear canals may have to be removed, our vet said. This would still leave the drums, and Ojay could possibly still hear somewhat. The poor dog also has heartworms and hadn't been neutered. We're going to have to get the complete history on this dog. But he's a real sweetie, and we will take care of him.

Henry finds a kennel mate: Tipper

     We were all kind of surprised that this worked out, being afraid that Tipper and Henry might naturally try to fight on their introduction on leash in the park. But after a lengthy introduction we took the leashes off, and although at first some of the play skirmishes appeared to be getting a little too close to the line, the two dogs ended the introduction session as friends, and we moved them in together Monday evening afternoon, and there've been no fights yet. We're all hoping these two are compatible.

Kerry comes home to Straydog and goes in with Colby

     We were just lucky this time. These two hit it off okay right from the start, tho we spent about five minutes on leash. But they're okay together, and we've moved them into the same kennel together.
