Old Pup is doing better today

He wags his tail, and his eyes look much better, and most importantly he's stopped passing blood. By phone our vet said things are looking much better for Old Pup.

No adoptions today, but we thank all our volunteers!

Angela's back from a bout with the flu, and in addition to our other regular regulars we are grateful to have received the help of volunteers from Highland Park High School, who were fulfilling the requirements of a class while thoroughly enjoying themselves while being very serious about their volunteer work helping out Straydog with our dogs today.

[Lots of photos to come]

Buffy ate dinner

The vet thought it might be a sore on his tongue, so we gave him some easy-to-eat food, and Buffy's appetite came back. So, it looks like he's okay.

Sasha is returned to Straydog

Sasha needs a family willing to put her through Obedience Training! She was too big to be jumping on the daughter, and too rambunctious to follow basic commands the family gave her. We could tell that the father had become attached to Sasha as he knelt down to say goodbye to her. He explained that Sasha wasn't a 'bad' dog, but without knowing or obeying simple commands this Golden Retriever is way too much for a family with a young daughter. The adults were also having difficulty walking her on a leash, he said.

We knew Sasha, and we knew it wouldn't be easy, so we have her back, and we'll find her another home.
