The cyst in Rover's ear will have to be removed, says Dr. Morton

The growth was the size of an acorn yesterday and oozing pus, so Tina squeezed it gently and got all the pus out. When Dr. Morton examined Rover today, knowing that this was a recurring problem, he said something like, "Let's get that cyst out of there once and for all."

So Rover's scheduled to be at the clinic at 9:00 a.m. for surgery. No breakfast for Rover tomorrow morning.

That's Rover on the left with his kennel mate, Happy, the first dog Pat rescued.

Rover

Teddy Bear (like Rover) is another one of Pat's original rescues, and Teddy was feeling great today!

Pat rescued Teddy Bear when he was a small puppy as he wondered from car to car in the parking lot of a super market. That was something that always perplexed Pat: How could all these others in this parking lot turn their backs on this pup?

Teddy's probably going to be a sanctuary dog for the duration

Teddy's been at Straydog for 10 years (never adopted because he can be super hyper), and he's had very bad hips for the past seven years, but today he ran around in the park like a puppy. We don't know what got into him, but we hope his special diet, including special supplements, has helped him.

Teddy Bear runs full speed across the park.

Teddy's bad hips are not bothering him at all today.
