Next to the Fourth of July, tonight could be the worst night of the year for the dogs

     Fireworks! - Fireworks, gunfire and thunder cause some of our dogs to go absolutely nuts, and they begin tearing up their kennel fencing is if it were made of twigs. We've already got the hospital kennels full of the most likely candidates, and throughout the night more dogs may be coming inside.

     Does anyone know the significance of allowing explosives to be detonated from Christmas Eve through New Years in the state of Texas? All we can hope for is that the nearby shooters pass out early tonight giving our dogs and us a little break.
