www.Straydog.org Update - POSTED EVERY DAY AT NOON
Bill Arnold's Daily Straydog Log
SATURDAY JANUARY 31 2004
Ojay had his stitches removed by Dr. Morton, our local vet, Friday afternoon
The incision is healed. No more infection. Ojay's a very happy fella. And we again thank Gayle and Jim very, very much for contributing to Straydog all the medical expenses of Ojay's two ear surgeries.

Report from Erin on Champ and Rudy ...
Both Champ and Rudy's blood test results came back, and we got a call from Dr. Reeves Friday evening: Good news on Champ; not so good news on Rudy
Champ
Champ's news is good. He has 'normal kidneys' it looks like! The doctor still wants to check his urine and would like to see him Tuesday.
Rudy
Rudy's bloodwork came back showing kidney and liver disease, Dr. Reeves said. Maybe he got into some poison as a puppy, the doctor suggested. This doesn't look good, and Dr. Reeves wants to see Rudy again for a hospital stay at his clinic. I didn't get a chance to ask him much about the blood work or further tests.
Randy Hopkins, our overnight man, and I brought Rudy into our trailer hospital this evening in order to spend some time with Rudy to try to determine if he's in any pain. Rudy's not arching his back as Fuzzy and Buffy did when they had stomach pain. Rudy seems tickled to be inside. He's curled up resting soundly, but will wake up up very quickly to be petted. Rudy loves being petted--on his tummy and everywhere. Rudy would make somebody such a good friend! I sure hope he gets the chance to do this.
Email from Isela (the mom), whose family adopted Amy and Annie last June 21st
To everyone at Straydog,
Just wanted to give you all an update on our Labs. They're doing GREAT! They have grown so much. Here's a picture of them now. Since Amy and Annie were two names that were too similar and being that Annie was sooo shy, we named her Shyanne. When we first adopted the puppies, Amy was always looking out for Shyanne. Shyanne was (and still is) pretty shy but when it comes to their bed or toys, Shyanne shows Amy who's boss. ... Our children absolutely love them. Our little one sings and dances to them on a daily basis. She hugs them before she goes to bed every night.
Thanks again,
Isela
