Dr. Morton called at nine a.m. to report on the results of Molly's blood work and to ask about Rocky
Molly
The report on Molly's blood work results is that everything is normal: "Right down the middle," the doctor said. He also commented that he was glad we are taking Molly to Dr. Paulsen, the eye specialist, on Wednesday. Cataracts has blinded Molly's left eye but is only beginning in her right eye, and this is important because at this point the eye doctor will be able to see into Molly's good eye well enough to be able to judge if anything can be done about saving Molly's vision.

Dr. Morton was again concerned about two of the lumps Molly is growing on her abdomen. Some of them are for sure fatty tumors (which are benign), but two of them are hard and are in her abdomen muscles. I reminded the doctor that he had removed a tumor of similar description about a year ago, and that tumor had turned out to be benign. The doctor looked back through Molly's records and saw this and said we could wait a while before we do anything.
Rocky
The doctor asked how Rocky was doing. I said he's eating about half his meals now and is taking his meds. Also Rocky's stools were brown this morning instead of black. (Black can indicate blood coming from the stomach or the small intestines.) "Let's stay the course," Dr. Morton said. If Rocky doesn't continue to improve, we are to let the doctor know.

Rudy's been eating five or six BIG meals per day, and he's gaining weight!
Rudy's looking better and is getting heavier. We'll weigh him later today when we get a spare moment. He's staying inside most of the time now, and we're letting him play in the park for a short period once a day with his buddy, Leo.
So, Rudy's calorie intake is way up and his exercise is way down--the opposite of what most of the rest of us are dealing with.
Rudy seems very happy, though he gets bored in his hospital kennel, as he's used to running at full speed non-stop most of the day. Right now he's getting some sun in the little temporary kennel just outside the trailer door. This kennel is so small he can't run at all in it.
