Puppy Grace had bad diarrhea yesterday afternoon; then she got better again
We reported at noon yesterday that we thought Puppy Grace was recovering. Then in the middle of the afternoon she started looking sick again, had a bad bout of watery diarrhea and wouldn't eat anything. We called the doctor, and he said to start Grace on I.V. fluids again, and to continue the meds for controlling diarrhea, which we did.. Then we watched her and waited.

At a little after seven last evening Grace vomited once again and continued to have no appetite.
Randy (our overnight man) reported this morning that Grace had eaten a puppy meal in the middle of the night, and Juana fed Grace another meal this morning, which the pup ate up showing a good appetite again. She hasn't had a bowel movement since her bout with diarrhea yesterday, but she should be having one sometime soon, and Juana and the crew are all watching her closely. The puppy seems to be feeling much better.
Erin reminded me by phone this morning that Dr. Reeves had told her a couple of days ago that we are very good nurses here at Straydog.
Puppy William continues to have no symptoms of illness
Here's a short video of Puppy William playing in his water bucket:
Becky's in the big hospital kennel in the same ward with Puppies Grace and Holly
We have sheets up covering Becky's view of the pups, and she seems to be resolved to spend whatever time she must in the hospital waiting for her ear to heal completely.

Saturday Adoption Day at PetsMart on Central at Parker in Plano
As I post this update, our Saturday Adoption Day is in full swing. No reports yet of any adoption (or potential adoptions).
A woman wants to return a dog adopted from us in January
We received a phone call yesterday afternoon from a woman who had adopted a dog back in January at our Saturday Adoption Day from a foster friend of Straydog. The woman says she can no longer keep the dog. Erin's been trying to reach the woman to see if she can at least foster the dog till some space opens up at Straydog. If this doesn't work, we may be bringing home an extra dog this evening.
