NOON UPDATE (Our Only Update for Today):

Yesterday afternoon's vet visit to Dr. Reeves in Tyler with five dogs

   Thelma and Louise

First we brought little Thelma and Louise into the examining room, and seeing these two pups put a big smile on the doctor's face! He gave them their first puppy shots and then the holistic treatment (Thuja) to hopefully take care of the bad side effects of the vaccinations. He gave us some eye medicine for Thelma's blue-pigmented eye, which we are to give three times a day, and he told us to keep using the medicine (Dr. Morton had prescribed) on the puppies' skin problems.

   Katie

Katie, who had had a couple bad days recently, was back in good form yesterday, and she took a lot of acupuncture and networking treatments. The doctor was going to move on to more levels of a certain treatment, but Katie was getting so relaxed (she had already been through about a half hour of treatments) that she fell asleep on the table, so the doctor smiled and said we'd stop there and for me to watch her while Tina brought in Toby. Katie had also barked and barked during the treatments. "She's pretending to 'get me'," Tina said. "Will she really bite you?" I asked. "No, but she could really 'get me' if she wanted to," Tina said.

   Toby and Trixie

Old Man Toby has not been able to walk well at all for the past week. He is tripping on his hind legs. The doctor said that it is a problem with Toby's spine. He did an acupuncture and networking session on Toby and also gave us the Adequan injections for both Toby and Trixie. Next time Trixie will also get acupuncture to help with her terrible arthritis and hip dysplasia. Toby put his paw out to me during his treatments, and again Dr. Reeves smiled, saying that Master Toby seemed appreciative!

   Jasper, the blond Lab

We again got to see the blond Lab, Jasper (who's back legs are paralyzed due to disk problems) (see the February 23rd update), and his dad in the next room. They had driven all the way from Lufkin again to get Jasper's acupuncture treatments. Jasper is doing okay. They are looking into getting that dog cart on wheels for Jasper and will let us know about the website of the company that makes these carts. (It may be the same cart SJ is getting for Dewey.)

So, it was a very good visit, and what made things even more special is that one of our Straydog supporters had called in a contribution to Dr. Reeves before we got there yesterday! Our therapy work and the medicines and enzymes we bought came to $193, which included good discounts, and the bill was covered by this contribution, and we have $57 credit left over for next time!! Thank you Cher Imrie! Thank you for this donation! How this generous donation has encouraged us at a difficult time!

Back to work on the newsletter

If I'm allowed to work the rest of the day on the newsletter, I should finish by bedtime tonight.

Is anyone right-clicking on the stills from Pat's video being played every night on our webcam link?

If anyone saves some really good frames, please email them to us. We might be able to put together some neat picture pages.
