Just wanted to update everyone on the status of the rescue of the two dogs in Dallas. We have named them Willow and Abby.
First of all, I want to
thank Bill Arnold for his help in getting the word out to folks,
as well as all those who have offered financial and other assistance
to help with the dogs' care.
The dogs were successfully rescued this morning [Sunday]
with the help of Claudia and Teresa from Plano. They were taken
to Kindness Small Animal Hospital of Garland, a facility that
generously provides care for rescued strays. The vet has found
both dogs to be advanced heart worm positive, covered in ticks,
malnourished, and in need of worming. Initial findings, however,
indicate that both dogs should be treatable.
Anyone who wishes to help support their care, may send their donation
to the following address:
Kindness
Small Animal Hospital
7602 North Jupiter, Suite 109
Garland, TX 75049
Phone: (972) 530-5463
Please indicate that the donation is in support of Willow and
Abby.
The dogs are obviously very close companions, and we would like
to find a home for them together. The vet and vet techs commented
on the loving nature of these two animals. If anyone knows of
a possible foster or permanent home, please let me know.
I sincerely appreciate all your offers of help.

I know it isn't much, but I hope this will help in the rescue of the two homeless dogs.
I remember you in my prayers and pray daily that God make all of us more caring and responsible to those helpless among us. We already have eight dogs and two cats in a regular sized yard and house, so I can only help with a little money and a lot of prayer!
Bless you and all that you do.

Raining and chilly this Tuesday morning
It was 56 degrees and dry outside when I got started at five this morning, but about eight o'clock it was starting to rain and the temperature was dropping. Now it's 53 degrees and dreary, and everyone is soaking wet, but our normal daily routine continues.

Prince came through his surgery and is ready to come home
We'll be picking him up as soon as we can free up a driver to go to the clinic. We've got Prince's hospital kennel all ready for him, though Sassy Old Katie, who loves to be out in the rain, is presently inside drying off in Prince's hospital kennel. Katie will be moving back out to her kennel when Prince arrives.
