6:00 A.M. UPDATE
Update on Rocky will come this evening
At almost six a.m. I'm getting ready to leave for Tyler to take Rocky from Dr. Reeves' clinic to see Dr. Maris at Shelley Road Vet Clinic, where the doctor will do a sonogram and x-rays to try to see if any tumors show up in his spleen or other organs.

9:30 P.M. UPDATE
Rocky is scheduled to have surgery Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.
This has been a very long day. I got a lot of photos this morning in Tyler and hopefully will get them on tomorrow morning. Rocky had a sonogram of his abdomen and some x-rays of that same area, looking for tumors. The doctor also aspirated two areas where abnormalities appeared in either the spleen or liver. Later the cells were determined to be spleen cells and were not cancerous, but the tumor could have been in a different place. Dr. Reeves will do exploratory surgery Saturday morning and will remove the spleen if it is cancerous. They've had quite a bit of success with dogs continuing to live regular lives after having their cancerous spleens removed. Finally the doctor asked me, "If it's all eaten up with cancer, shall we just let him go?" I said, "Yes."
