NOON UPDATE

Rocky update: Dr. Reeves called last night, and I called the doctor this morning

Rocky's latest blood test results came back to Dr. Reeves Sunday, and he told me last evening that now almost everything is starting to look good--red cell count up, platelets up--, but the blood test also shows problems with Rocky's liver. This would explain his lack of appetite again. Rocky's stools are good--no blood. But the old fellow isn't showing interest in anything on his potty walks other than taking care of business and going right back into his kennel inside the clinic.

Dr. Reeves said that a sick liver makes you feel sick, and now we have to find out what's wrong with Rocky's liver. One day at a time, the doctor said. We're not giving up on Rocky yet.

Joe wants to visit Rocky again this afternoon. The doctor was pleased at how much Joe's visit to Rocky seemed to improve the old dog's attitude Friday afternoon, and he said Joe could stop by between 3:30 and 4:00 this afternoon.

Last Friday Rocky shows he's happy to see Joe, as Dr. Reeves looks at blood in the microscope.
