Adoption Day today, where Tiger will join us

ROSTER: Baby Girl, Kerry, Gretchen, Puppies Holly, Thelma and Louise plus possibly two lab puppies from Angie's rescue home. We will need a lot of volunteers today!

Angie's rescue, Tiger, will also be at PetsMart. This will be Tiger's first time out of West Dallas, first time in a pet store, and first time around a lot of people, so if Tiger gets scared, we will put her in a crate and put a blanket over the crate. We appreciate Holly taking the time to bring Tiger (and the lab pups just for Adoption Day) to us. This helps Angie and it helps us! Thank you so much, Holly.

Adoption Day home visit for both Baby Girl and Kerry

Erin and her husband Dana are taking Baby Girl and Kerry on a home visit an hour north of PetsMart today. A very nice fellow named Randy came into the PetsMart store last week with his rescued Golden Retriever named Mack. Randy wants another dog, a friend for Mack. His wife agrees and is looking forward to meeting Baby Girl and Kerry. We're taking both dogs to their home because although Randy fell in love with Baby Girl, our Shepherd/Husky mix, Kerry, fell in love with Randy's dog, Mack! Baby Girl and Mack were okay together but just didn't pay much attention to each other on their walks outside together.

So, we'll see how things go at their home today!

Complete Adoption Day report to come in tomorrow's update.

Update on Lydia, Angie's rescue who is picked on by Angie's other dogs

The dog we mentioned a couple days ago who has to be crated all the time at Angie's because other dogs pick on her is going on a retreat with three woman this weekend at a campground in Possom Kingdom. Shelly Allen felt so bad for Lydia's situation that she asked her friends if she could bring the dog on their scheduled camping weekend. The friends said sure! (All are dog people.) There is also a potential foster home for Lydia after this weekend with other friends of Shelly's. Thank you, Shelly!
