NOON UPDATE

Parvo pup, Summer, ate a half can of tuna this morning!

She's taking her medicines and still enjoying her potty walks, though she still hasn't had a bowel movement since her diarrhea stopped Monday evening. We're keeping very close watch on her and continue to pray that this continues to be a mild case of the disease.

Jason holds Puppy Summer while Erin gives her her meds.

The medicine squirts Jason in the face.

Puppy Summer walks slowly on her potty walk this morning.

Still no bowel movement.

Dr. Reeves says to stop the anti-diarrheal meds

Erin talked with Dr. Reeves this morning, telling him Puppy Summer's status, and the doctor said to stop the Kaopectate and Pepto-Bismol. It may take a while but Puppy Summer should regain her appetite and resume normal potty functions.

Gordo just announced that Puppy Summer is eating more of her tuna fish

This is good news. Hopefully she's turning the corner.

Blackie's got a cough that started yesterday; Toby started coughing today

Blackie doesn't look sick, and he still has a good appetite, and he's not throwing up. Toby's cough is about the same. Dr. Reeves prescribed some medicine that we already have here, and we've given it to both Toby and Blackie.

Lucy had a good night at her new home with Caregiver Bobby

     Bobby reported everything went well.

Misty's skin allergies are acting up again

We've brought the old girl (one of Pat's original 1992 dogs) inside a hospital kennel, where she's enjoying the air-conditioning while wearing an E-collar to keep her from chewing her itchy skin. We've got a call into the Animal Dermatology Referral Clinic in Dallas, where we first took Misty in 2002. Misty has been doing well for more than two years on the therapy prescribed by the doctors there, but just recently her skin irritation has been acting up again.
