Volunteer Marsha reports ...

     Sunday's Adoption Event at the Irish Festival got off to a slow start due to some confusion on their official website about what time the event would open to the public Sunday. We took the extra time to look around a little and see what there was to offer in the immediate area. Pretty soon, though, the crowd began to trickle in and finally built up to a large group of folks passing through the rescue area petting the dogs, and rabbits, and cats.
 
     Lots of folks stopped at the Straydog booth for a visit with Reba, Brian, Fancy, Bruno (Lacie's pup), and Foster Dogs Blue and Dagger. Many took a newsletter and/or left a donation and gave our dogs some love and attention.
 
     Lucy was very excited to see her first French Bulldog! She also had the chance to pet the rabbits across the way and interact with the kittens next to our booth. She is such a good helper and always pleasant to the dogs, visitors and volunteers.
