A couple comes into Petsmart with their dog, Abby, and they meet and like Tony

There were a few people interested in some of our babies and very good luck at the end of the day when Pup Tony had a visit from a couple with a 10-year-old doggie named Abby.

Lacie tells the family about Tony-dog.

Tony's prospective dad and mom and their dog Abby check out Big Pup Tony.

Big Pup Tony's home visit and adoption

This couple also has five kitties, and when we did the home visit, we weren't quite sure if all would work out, but we are being hopeful! Abby lost her long-time canine friend and companion to cancer just a few months back, and the parents are finally ready to adopt another dog.

The mom brings out one of the cats to meet Tony.

Tony and Abby got along just fine, and Tony seemed to be okay with the cats until one took off running. Tony immediately began to chase this kitty named Dylan. We were outside in the back yard at the time, and next another kitty named Smoky thought he'd step in and try to save Dylan. Smoky ran over and scratched or bit Tony on his backside, making Tony yelp very loudly and come running back to us. We snapped a picture of Tony hugging his new mom with his tail between his legs, not wanting to let go after this incident.

Tony's had enough of cats for the moment as he hugs his new mom and his dad scratches his chest.

Tony's probable new mom and dad will monitor the situation closely this week and let us know if they think this will work. They already have a crate at the house, and they will have the time to be with the animals, because they work from home, so there is a very good possibility that this will work out okay.

Thanks to our volunteers (and others)

We are so grateful for all the volunteers who helped us today, and to Peggy from Frisco Humane Society, who donated some cat litter for all my kitties! Thank you everybody!!
