SATURDAY ADOPTION DAY RESULTS:

A family is interested in Coco but no adoptions

Lacie reports ...

When we arrived at Petsmart a little before 11 o'clock this morning, we set up inside the store because it was still too chilly outside. On our roster today we had Big Pup Patsy, Oso, Liz, and shy Coco. We had a fairly busy day with people coming by visiting with and loving on our doggies.

Interest in Coco

There was a wonderful family interested in beautiful 3-year-old Coco. Coco's previous mom Christine was at Adoption Day today helping us, and it was great that she could tell this grandma, mom and 11-year-old boy all about Coco. The family has a cat and Christine told them that Coco had been fine with his two previous cat-brothers when Coco was at her home. This family has no other dogs, and it really seemed like a wonderful fit to us. Grandma really liked that Coco didn't jump up on her and that Coco is house-broken. The boy, who has never had a dog before, was very pleased that Coco walked right beside him down one of the aisles and that Coco sat for him and then shook hands for a treat. But the mother had it in her mind that they would be getting a smaller dog, maybe even a puppy, so although the boy and grandma wanted Coco, the family needed to discuss everything at home. They took an application and we hope to see them next week.

Coco and Christine.
