Chris sees Tuffy and wonders why he hasn't been adopted
When Chris was working on this project, he spotted Tuffy in the park. (Tuffy is one of Chris's brother Michael's rescues we took in a couple of years ago.) Chris was surprised that we still had Tuffy. Can't believe it, he said. Tuffy is such a good and sweet boy. But as I told Chris, it's really very simple: there are way too many homeless doggies in this world, and it is very probable that Straydog will be the only home for many. But that's what a no-kill shelter must be--a sanctuary for those who never get adopted.

Max and Molly enjoy the warm day outside in their original kennel
Max and Molly, two of our old-timers, who have been at Straydog since late '94 or early '95, stay in Hospital II when it's bad weather but get to spend time in their outside kennel on good weather days.

Mr. Vern's diarrhea has ended, and he sleeps all day
After having a very bad day yesterday, for little Vern we are happy to say that Vern is doing very well today with no more diarrhea, poor little fella. Today Vern slept most of the day (and last night) as yesterday he was up all day long having to go outside. He had very bad diarrhea and wasn't comfortable at all most of the day. I was so happy to see him sound a sleep and resting today with his friends and companions, little Miss Missy and Miss Peppy girl, who is looking so much better now without the stitches in her forehead. She is sure a pretty little Chihuahua.
