Woman interested in Liz comes back to introduce her doggie Bucky to Liz

We had an appointment scheduled today at Petsmart to meet with the woman who really liked Liz last week. This lady had sent in her Straydog Adoption Application earlier this week, and all looks great. She came with her 10-year-old Springer Spaniel to meet both Liz and Bunny, and she also wants to meet Natalie next week before making her decision. (She has also seen a Lab who got along well with Bucky at a shelter in McKinney, so maybe this other doggie is in the running too.) The lady's sister also came along to Petsmart with her Bassett/King Charles Spaniel named Tut. The doggie the lady adopts needs to get along both with Bucky and Tut. Liz did fine with both dogs.

Bucky loved Liz, though Liz is shy at Adoption Days

We walked Liz and Bucky to the grassy place at the end of the row of stores and the doggies showed no aggression. Bucky seemed to really like Liz, too. Liz was her usual timid self at Adoption Day. Bucky, however, was not shy at all, and Liz accepted his playfulness, but was too shy to play. She was submissive toward him (lay on her back while he sniffed her). Liz did snap at Bucky once when he got too nosy around her tail, so Bucky backed off.

Liz is very docile and submissive for a few seconds before she growled at the Springer Spaniel, Bucky.

At the grassy dog-walk area near Petsmart, the interested lady has Bucky and Lacie has a very timid Liz.

Liz lies on her back to show Bucky she greets him in peace ("pax").

We went through the same procedure of walking Bunny and Bucky to the grassy belt behind the stores, but Bunny didn't like Bucky. She growled and snapped whenever Bucky came close to her, so that was the end of that introduction.

Bunny says no to Bucky

We walked Liz and Tut back to the grass as Tut will be part of the family at times when the sisters are visiting, and again all was fine with these two doggies. Then the first sister came back to the grassy area with Bucky and we took a photo of all three doggies next to each other. Things seemed to go very well and Liz was warming up a little, wanting to sniff the doggies, and she was wagging her tail a little for the humans, no longer holding her tail between her legs.

Liz, Bucky and Tut

The woman wants to wait until next week to make a decision. We'll bring both Liz and Natalie next week, and the lady said she'd be able to decide then who would be their next family member.
