Chilly morning turns into a nice day
Even though it was pretty chilly this morning (43 degrees at five a.m.), the day has turned out very nice. All of the doggies ate very well this morning, and they really liked the very cool weather, which causes them to get very energetic, and many of them dig big holes (for no apparent reason).
Full Monday crew
We had a full crew today with Jeff, Rhonda and Wayne doing kennels and me doing park walks, and then Juana came down to the shelter on her usual day off to work on thank-you letters as she was gone with her daughter, Lucy, on the choir field trip to San Antonio last Friday and Saturday.
Fancy's limping a little
When I had Fancy and Terry-dog in the park this morning, I noticed Fancy is still having a little trouble with her back left leg. I had told Juana about Fancy's limp yesterday, and she had told me we should separate the two dogs, bringing one of them inside to see if Fancy's limp might get better because Terry really likes to grab Fancy by the legs when their roughing around playing, and she often gets a little too rough, so I walked Terry around the park on the leash (so she couldn't bother Fancy), and she did her business, and then I brought her inside the hospital trailer and put her in a crate. (I would have brought in Fancy, the hurt dog, but she gets very nervous and behaves very badly inside in a crate.)
When Juana got down to the shelter to work on her thank-you letters, I gave her an update on Fancy and Terry, and she checked Fancy and said we needed to give her some Rimadyl for the pain and we would see how Fancy is doing in the morning. We hope she will be fine and that it's not another torn ACL.

Misty gets her allergy shot
While Juana was here, she also gave Misty-Moo her allergy shot for me today. Hopefully we will be able to remove Misty's E-collar soon as she really hates having to wear it, but we had had to put one on her to help keep her from chewing herself.
