Juana reports ...      Edited and posted by Bill

JoJo and Little Max2 see Dr. Cornelius

No emergencies visits to our vet today, but we were finally able to take the two long-haired Chihuahuas, JoJo and Little Max2, to see Dr. Cornelius, whose clinic was open today. We have already reported that at Morton Small Animal Clinic JoJo and Little Max2's heartworm tests came back showing they were positive for heartworms, and because these dogs are so tiny, we really didn't want to do the very strong conventional heartworm treatment that Morton Clinic uses. I wanted to double-check with Dr. Cornelius, who uses a less harsh method of treatment to eradicate heartworms. Last week when I took these two little fellas in, Dr. Cornelius' clinic was closed for spring break, so today we called to be sure they were open before we took them in.

Volunteer Linda donates kennel and then accompanies George and doggies to vet

Volunteer Linda P. came to Straydog to help us today with more of our correspondence filing, and she also brought us the fencing from a she was no longer using at her house, and we thank her very much for it.

Volunteer Linda unloads her donated kennel gate from her suv.

George lifts the kennel gate out of the car.

The kennel fencing and posts are stored against the Straydog wood fence.
