Strong interest in Terry-dog
Terry had some very strong interest in her. A couple who had just lost their dog (a beagle) are considering adopting another companion animal. They fell in love with Terry-dog and then decided that they did not want to separate her from her kennel mate, Fancy, so I told them about Fancy and showed them her pictures from our Dogs for Adoption book. Next Saturday we will be taking Fancy to Petsmart to meet the couple along with Terry-dog, and if everything goes well, hopefully there will be a home visit.

Foster Dog Blondie2 is adopted
Blondie2 got adopted today. Blondie was found last Saturday by Jeff, who is a foster parent for us. He found Blondie in the park by his house. She was healthy but very skinny, so Jeff took her to the vet, got her shots and also had her spayed this past Wednesday. Blondie was adopted by the same couple who had adopted Kasey, Jeff's last foster dog, whom the couple had adopted back before Christmas. Jeff called them and told them he had found another dog (Blondie2) and that she would be attending Straydog Adoption Day today. It just so happened that they were looking for a friend for Kasey, but so far Kasey had not liked any of the dogs they had looked at. The couple brought Kasey to Petsmart, and Kasey sniffed Blondie all over and then started licking her, which was kind of a surprise. They stayed and played with Blondie for a while and then decided they wanted to adopt her. Everything went well, so Blondie2 now has her forever home, living with her new friend Kasey. (Sorry, no pix of Blondie2.)
Interest in Tuffy from two different people
Tuffy was a very sweet boy today, and everyone passing by loved on him and petted him. Tuffy had two different people interested in him. A man stopped by who does not know if he is ready for a dog just yet because it would be his first dog and he realizes a dog is a big responsibility. The other person interested in Tuffy was a women who is looking for a dog to adopt, and she fell in love with tuffy but does not know if her cat will like another pet in the house. It's an older cat who does not like many other animals.

Reba was a good girl
Reba was very good today. She always is a love, and she always gets a lot of love from both our volunteers and the many people who stop by. Reba really enjoys all the attention she gets from everyone at Adoption Day.

We had a good day and thanks to our volunteers!
If we just keep plugging away at this (which we will do), we'll continue finding more and more homeless dogs their forever homes, and we really couldn't do this without the help of our Saturday Adoption Day Volunteers!
