A very busy, good day at Straydog

     Today was a very good day. It was very, very busy, but after a hard day we're happy that we got a lot done!

Nikki and Rex have a nice time in the park this morning

     Nikki has been inside recovering from her TPLO knee surgery. It has been two months now since Nikki had her surgery, and she still needs to be inside at least two more weeks. Rex has been staying outside, and we try to let them get together in the park daily because they miss each other very much. We've had both doggies inside both hospitals together, but the inside kennels are just two small for these two big dogs. There were a couple times that they got into little scuffles when they were together in the same small inside kennel area caused by other dogs getting into a spat. (What happens is that Nikki sees the other spat, and she attacks Rex like he's a stranger.) But when you see how much Nikki and Rex love and miss each other when they are reunited in the park, you wouldn't think they would ever fight. This morning when they met in the park, Nikki and Rex gave each other kisses all over and were very happy to see each other. Tina walked Nikki right next to Rex and he was so pleased to have his kennel mate right there with him. We let them sniff around the park and have their time together. Then we brought Nikki back inside and took Rex back to his kennel.
