Juana reports ...      Edited and posted by Bill

Full crew helps a lot to get our projects done at Straydog

Another very busy day for all of us here at Straydog. Luckily, we still have a full crew and the new members are really learning fast, and this is helping us to get caught up on our projects.

Groomers come again today

The groomer ladies came in again today. It was nine a.m. when Stacy and Tina arrived ready to do some more grooming for us. Last evening I had asked Roberto and Lacie to bathe Susie, Fluffy and Muffin and to bring them inside, so they would be all clean and dry and ready to be groomed. Getting the dogs bathed ahead of time has worked well so far and allows us to get more done. I haven't really counted all of our dogs who need to be groomed, but I know that we are still not even half done.

Muffin is groomed first

First to be groomed this morning was Muffin, and after Stacy the groomer checked her over, she thought we could save most of her hair, so both ladies worked hard getting only mats and tangles out of Muffin. Now Muffin is all done and, oh my, she looks so good. Now you can really tell Muffin isn't as big as she used to look. She actually looks skinny to us.

Muffin gets her mats and tangles brushed out.

Muffin looks very pretty now.

Jack and Jill go for a walk while Muffin is being groomed.

Fluffy had to be shaved because of her mats

Fluffy was way too matted, especially on her back, for the groomers to leave her hair long. Fluffy has been chewing and had a red spot on her too. The hair needed to come off so she had to be shaved, but she looks fresh and clean and pretty now.

Fluffy is doing well while getting her nails trimmed.
