Susie gets groomed today too
Last for today was our Susie-Q, who was very nervous, but we really needed to get her done. Susie's hair mats so easily because it is so long, and even though the ladies tried to save most of her hair, they were actually hurting Susie by pulling and brushing. I knew that this was painful for Susie, so we decided to go ahead and make it easier and faster for Susie by having her shaved. By the time they were finished with her, Susie was tired, but happy to have relief from all her matted hair.

A big thank you to Ofelia G. for helping us with grooming costs once again
Only three of our dogs got groomed today, but it really takes a lot of time for each dog to get done. If these ladies can do at least three or four of our dogs a day, with us not having to go anywhere else, that's a pretty good deal for us. We're so happy once again that our dogs will be more comfortable this summer with their summer hairdos, thanks to our contributor and friend, Ofelia G. Thank you, so much, Ofelia!
Thank you also to Stacy and Tina, our new groomers
Tomorrow is the first of the month, and Stacy helps some older folks taking them to get their checks, groceries, etc, so tomorrow is the only day our groomers can't make it here, but the following day and from then on, they will be back to work on finishing up this project. Thank you, Stacy and Tina!
Two more kennels sprayed for fleas
We also had some time today to do more spraying of the kennels. Jorge and I did one kennel each, and now we are letting them dry before moving our dogs back in.

Frontline applied on half our doggie residents
Also today we got almost half of our dogs de-fleaed with Frontline and a Capstar pill. Capstar quickly kills the fleas that are already on our dogs, and the Frontline keeps working on killing fleas for 30 days. We got all Hospital I and Hospital II dogs done, and all of the Central area done too, all the way to Rex.
